Join us for (Socially Distanced) Spring Into Camp 2021
Thurs May 13th – Grounds and Spaces Saturday May 15th – John Gray and Tamarack Lodges
Thurs May 20th – Grounds and Spaces Saturday May 22nd – Cabins and Waterfront
All 4 days will run from approximately 8am to 4pm – lunch will be provided.
Spring into Camp is devoted to getting Camp Tamarack ready for the summer season. The power and water are turned back on, the waterfront is set up, trails are cleared, and the cabins get cleaned up for the summer.
There is much to do before camp programming begins in a normal spring. Since many of our buildings have been unused for over a year, there is even more for us to do – and many hands make light work.
We will focus on a different building/area each day, and all tools and supplies are provided!

Here is a sampling of what you will get to help with –
Grounds: Pick up trash, rake, put out clotheslines, put up fire extinguishers, pick up branches, clear trails/pick up brush, split and distribute firewood, clear off cabin roofs, clear landscaping beds, clean up labyrinth, fill campfire water bucket, help organize ball mahal, put up the new gaga ball pit
Tamarack Lodge: Clean beds and cubbies, dust/vacuum cobwebs, clean bathrooms, sinks and counters, stock soap, toilet paper and garbage bags, wipe down refrigerators and turn on, vacuum floors
John Gray Lodge: Run all dishes through dishwasher, wipe out cabinets in kitchen, wash walls in kitchen, wash pantry shelves, clean all stainless steel, sweep and mop walk in fridge/freezer, clean microwave,
Waterfront: Weed waterfront, bring down boats/equipment, put out raft and buoys, clean and organize boat house
Cabins: Vacuum/wipe windowsills, corners, baseboards, bed frames, screens and exhaust fans, wipe shelves and counters, wipe down mattresses, clean sinks and toilets, clean windows and mirrors, put up curtains, sweep floors, stoops and porches, put in toilet paper, hand soap and garbage bags
There is something for every age and skill level to do!
