Caring for Your Soul: Clergy Retreat

All Region Clergy are invited to some time away at Camp Tamarack from Sunday, January 29th, in the evening, through Tuesday, January 31st, 2pm The purpose of our time together is to provide space for clergy post-holidays to relax, rest, and seek spiritual direction or coaching should they desire it. Our retreat leaders are Rev. Dr. John Walton, Jr., pastor of Calvary Baptist Church in Milwaukee, Rev. Dr. Thomas Aldworth, retired from Chicago, and Rev. End of Year Retreat for Young Adults

End the year right! Spend some time at Camp Tamarack Thurs night December 29th until Sat morning Dec 31st contemplating and making plans for “What’s Next” in 2023. This retreat is for those that are post High School up to 6ish years. The schedule will be set by those that attend, but there will be time for rest, for fun, for worship and connecting with each other and creation. Congratulations Linda Jolly – Hospitality Manager

Congratulations to Linda Jolly who will be adding to her Head Cook duties at Camp Tamarack as our Hospitality Manager. Linda will be responsible for camp security, housekeeping, receiving rental groups and overall supporting the Camp Tamarack mission and vision. Linda has been an incredible asset to Camp Tamarack the past several years as assistant cook and head cook – plus all the “other duties as assigned” she helped with this summer. She is a past camper, leader and makes cinnamon rolls as big as your head!

What a summer! We are nearing the end of our programming and I wanted to take the opportunity to thank all the Cabin Leaders, Health Officers, Weekly Directors and Pastors who helped to make the summer special for all our campers. UPDATE to camp schedule

Please note that due to a low camper registration and shortage of volunteers as cabin leaders we will be making the following updates to the camp schedule this season: Primary Camp and Middler Camp will be combining to make one camp. There is no change to Primary campers. For Middler campers, this will mean their camp will now end on Wed and the cost will shift from $265 to $170. This camp will run from July 10-13th. Junior Camp and Jr High Camp will also be combined. This will mean that campers that signed up for Junior camp will have…
Volunteer Opportunities starting in May 2022

There are several opportunities to share your time and talents with Camp this spring/summer! 1) Help get camp ready for the season: May 13-15 we will be tackling some physical property projects such as chain sawing and moving trees, putting up a new flag pole and more. May 19-21 is Spring in to Camp weekend when we get the lodges and cabins ready for the summer. May 27-29 we will continue to tackle the physi cal property projects we didn’t finish the weekend on May 13th and include more such as fixing Hogans. June 3-5 will be the last weekend…

Please join me in wishing Rev. Kim Drost well as she takes on a new role as Interim Pastor for First Baptist Church in Ixonia.
